Religion- We've been immersed in the Bible this last week as we read John's account of the Passion of Christ.
5th Grade Language Arts- It's April and time to turn our attention to poetry- one of favorite things. We'll read and write all kinds of poetry and practice using some of what we know about literary devices to do so. We are working on weekly lessons in grammar, spelling, and vocabulary as well as a new round with book clubs.
5th Grade Social Studies- Together with a partner, we are using google slides to cover Chapters 7 + 8. This enables students to practice summarizing information and present to classmates. This project will take the place of a test.
All 5th + 6th Graders- should be reading book club books at home + prepare for discussion groups every Friday.
6th Grade Language Arts- Vocab test covering Lessons 10, 11 + 12 is planned for Tuesday, April 13. Our grammar focus is nouns and pronouns and we are reading poetry for National Poetry Month.
